As you consider submitting a post for our blog, we ask that you keep in mind our goal to ultimately share personal experiences, thoughts, and resources that point others to our great hope in Jesus Christ.
We would like for most of our volunteer writers to focus on personal application to the topics assigned. If we give you an assignment with no topic or a very broad topic, we would like to know what you have learned personally that you would like to share with our readers.
We already have position papers and detailed theological teaching articles available on our website for anyone looking for that kind of resource. As a volunteer writer, consider yourself a living, breathing example of these biblical discipleship resources. You are a relatable, real person that readers can connect with on a different level than reading a topical article on theology and doctrine.
That being said, if you have an interest in writing in more of a teaching style or helping create some of these resources for our website or based off the teaching, let us know! We understand that not every writer writes within the same confines.
Please submit a brief sample post by clicking the link at the end of the page. If you are interested in writing in the bucket of “personal application,” this sample of your writing can be over any topic related to your walk with the Lord, a personal story, or what you are learning from the current series. If you are interested in teaching/academic style writing, we suggest listening to a past sermon and writing a post adapted from it to send in for your sample post.
Once we have read through your post, we’ll get back to you with further instructions. Please understand that we will not always have a writing assignment available for everyone, depending on writing style, voice, content, etc. If the Grace Church Blog is not the right fit for your writing style, that is OK. No matter what, we are thankful for your willingness to serve the Kingdom through writing. God is glorified through the efforts and servant hearts of His children.
Please submit your sample article and following posts with standard font size (12), single line-spaced, single spaces after periods, and max of 600-800 words. Keep in mind that these are generally meant to be short reads.
