11 Feb Resources | Grieving a Loss
Losing someone you love can be difficult. You may feel like there aren’t many people who can understand the deep hurt you currently feel. This can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before.
If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member or friend it’s important to surround yourself with community and with others who can relate to what you are going through.
We are launching a new ministry called GriefShare. GriefShare groups will meet weekly to help you face some of the current challenges surrounding the death of a loved one and help you move toward rebuilding your life. Each GriefShare session has three distinct elements: Video Seminars, Group Discussions, and a Personal Workbook.
Watch the video below to hear more about how GriefShare groups work and the importance of the grieving process.
Orientation for GriefShare groups is this Saturday, February 14th, from 10:00am-12:00pm with classes beginning on Monday, February 16th. For more information and to see the full class schedule click here.
We also want to encourage you to watch this talk by Nancy Guthrie from the Gospel Coalition’s Women’s Conference in 2012. Having experienced significant loss and grief herself, Nancy outlines some of the stages of grieving and some steps to take to come out on the other side feeling joy.
