What’s your major?
– Communication
How did you find out about Kairos?
– I found out about Kairos through attending Grace Church Anderson.
What are you going to be doing at Grace this summer?
– I will be working in the Children’s Ministry at Pelham this summer.
What’s the best book you’ve read in the last two years?
– The best book I have read in the last two years is Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis.
What’s one interesting or weird fact about you?
– One interesting fact about me is I’m not superstitious but I am a little stitious.
If you had to describe yourself in hashtags, what would they say?

What’s one thing you hope to learn, experience, or gain this summer?
– One thing I hope to learn this summer is how to effectively bring a Christian and Godly perspective to a secular workforce.

– Business – Computer Information Systems with a minor in Christian Theology
How did you find out about Kairos?
– I have been attending Grace Anderson since November and Bill White told me to apply at Discovery.
What are you going to be doing at Grace this summer?
– I will be the Grace Anderson Intern.
What’s the best book you’ve read in the last two years?
– “The Crucified God” by Jürgen Moltmann
What’s one interesting or weird fact about you?
-I fell in a yellow jackets nest when I was six and had 60+ stings.
If you had to describe yourself in hashtags, what would they say?

What’s one thing you hope to learn, experience, or gain this summer?
– I want an inkling of an idea of how to be humble and also how to tackle big picture ideas and create my own step-by-step process to get it to reality.

How did you find out about Kairos?
– Through attending Grace and asking previous interns about the program
What are you going to be doing at Grace this summer?
– Student Ministry at Pelham
What’s the best book you’ve read in the last two years?
– Mere Christianity
What’s one interesting or weird fact about you?
-I love singing classical music (i.e. opera arias, art song, etc.)

What’s one thing you hope to learn, experience, or gain this summer?
– I’m looking forward to serving some awesome students and getting to know them, and I’m also hoping the Lord will work to free me from fear of failure and continue to shed my history of people-pleasing.

– Through multiple friends from previous years that have gone through the program
What are you going to be doing at Grace this summer?
– I am a Pelham Worship Intern, but also involved at Anderson campus playing percussion
What’s the best book you’ve read in the last two years?
-Humility, True Greatness by C.J. Mahaney
What’s one interesting or weird fact about you?
– I am a sports fanatic, especially Clemson baseball and the Atlanta Braves
If you had to describe yourself in hashtags, what would they say?
-I don’t understand hashtags, so probably #grandpa
What’s one thing you hope to learn, experience, or gain this summer?
-One thing I hope to learn is how to move away from listening to myself and instead talk to myself and pray with a god centered attitude not a self centered attitude.

How did you find out about Kairos?
– I found out about Kairos through Mattison Williams. 🙂
What are you going to be doing at Grace this summer?
– I will be serving in the Culturally Engaged Department, primarily helping with the Allendale trips.
What’s the best book you’ve read in the last two years?
-“The Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert” By Rosaria Butterfield
What’s one interesting or weird fact about you?
-I speak some Portuguese and I’m a dual citizen (US and Brazil).

What’s one thing you hope to learn, experience, or gain this summer?
– I would like to learn more about my God-given strengths and what role God has for me in the body of Christ, the Church.

Jordyn Schirripa

– Sophomore at Clemson University
What’s your major?
– Communication Studies major with an Art minor
How did you find out about Kairos?
– I attend Grace Powdersville and I also talked with friends of mine who have participated in Kairos.
What are you going to be doing at Grace this summer?
– I am interning with Culturally Engaged, and I am coordinating student ministry trips to Allendale, SC as well as researching and doing work on various CE projects.
What’s the best book you’ve read in the last two years?
-My favorite book series that I’ve read in the last two years is the Divergent Series.
What’s one interesting or weird fact about you?
-I am unhealthily obsessed with Grey’s Anatomy so much so that I’ve debated changing my major at times… It’s actually a problem.
If you had to describe yourself in hashtags, what would they say?

What’s one thing you hope to learn, experience, or gain this summer?
-I am excited to to be able to come up under the leadership of the church in order to grow and learn more about the strengths that God has given me. I hope that understanding my strengths will allow me to better serve, come alongside, and be a blessing to others.

– Sophomore at USC
What’s your major?
– Computer Science, German minor
How did you find out about Kairos?
– I’ve had several good friends from Grace that have done Kairos over the years. They all had great things to say about it, and it sounded like something I’d really enjoy.
What are you going to be doing at Grace this summer?
– I’m the intern for the Spartanburg campus, so a little of everything. I’ll be working on developing curriculum for our Student Ministry, taking on everyday administrative roles for the campus, and helping with AV and worship on Sundays.
What’s the best book you’ve read in the last two years?
-Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis
What’s one interesting or weird fact about you?
-I can snap really loud.
If you had to describe yourself in hashtags, what would they say?

What’s one thing you hope to learn, experience, or gain this summer?
-I’m looking forward to working under staff and pastors at Grace and being discipled by them. It will be a great environment for me to develop my strengths and gifts and grow in maturity and my walk with Christ.
