Grace Church Members Part of Local News Feature Story

There is a crisis in the foster care system.

There’s a shortage of foster homes and an abundance of children in the foster care system. There are over 4,000 children in the foster care system in South Carolina, and only 1200 foster homes. Several of our own members wanted to be a part of the solution to this problem and are using their voice to encourage others. The Crumptons and The Brackens were part of a feature story in two local news sources this week. You can read more about their stories on Greenville Online and watch a recent feature on WYFF 4.

If you are interested in fostering and have questions, you can contact our Resource Care Licensing Specialist, Beth Drake, at [email protected]. If you’ve made the decision to foster and need assistance, be sure to check out our Foster & Adopt Resource Center located at 2301 Wade Hamptom Blvd. The center provides clothing, diapers, formula, toys, baby furniture, etc. to foster families and supports an average of 4-5 families per week.
